ROUTE

The route we have chosen for you is a beautiful mix of the high altitude valleys and lakes in the Himalayas. Our tour will start in Leh and our first halt in Nubra Valley will take us across the worldÕs highest motorable road at 18,380 feet. The Nubra Valley is home to the highest deserts and natural hot springs while also being the gateway to both China and Pakistan. Our rides in Nubra valley will see us in former Pakistan, giving us a glimpse of the culture and warmth of people who have seen war and strife. Our journey to the worldÕs highest salt water lake at 14500 feet will see us traverse the 3rd highest pass in the world. From here we make our way through 3 of the worlds highest passes into beautiful rugged Spiti Valley. The Spiti Valley offers us a chance to explore the Himalayas, century old monasteries, a chance to spot some rare wildlife (blue sheep) and enjoy the warmth of Kaza, a village that is accessible only 4 months in a year. From there we make our way back to Leh while diverting ourselves for a night halt at Tso-Kar lake (5000mtrs) where the local shepherds 'Changpas' can often be seen collecting and extracting salt from the Tsokar Lake to distribute it to the other parts of the state. We will make our return trip to Leh through Tanglang-La pass (worlds second highest pass at 17300feet) for a postcard memory to return home with.
